Terry Traub

Antoine Rousseau started dancing in Paris when he was 15 in a group which a few years later became the Paris Branch. He first attended the RSCDS Summer School in 1988 and found it to be a revelation; a good mixture of fun, technique, and social activities. He has been teaching since he was 21 years old, first in Lyon during his university days, then in Paris after passing his teaching certificate in 2009. Since then, he has taught at RSCDS Summer School at St Andrews, and several Weekend Workshops and Schools in Northern America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, where he has the met wonderful people of the Scottish dancing scene. He currently dances and teaches at the Paris Branch.  Antoine taught at TAC SS 2013 and we are delighted to have him join us again.

Terry Traub is a folk musician and bandleader who plays piano, violin, accordion, and mandolin and has been known to pick up the trumpet on occasion. Over the past twenty-five years he has performed all over the United States and abroad, including Taiwan, Japan, Scotland, Hungary, and Canada.  He has been on the music staff at Pinewoods Camp in Massachusetts for many years and has performed at Scottish dance events all over the country. Knowledgeable in many styles including American, Celtic, Klezmer and eastern European folk music, he has a special love for the music of Scotland and Cape Breton, and has accompanied such well-known fiddlers as Buddy MacMaster, John Campbell, Raymond Ellis, Jerry Holland, and Joe Cormier.
