TAC Summer Events 2017 are being held at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. The main campus of the University of British Columbia, commonly referred to as UBC, is located on Point Grey, a headland that also encompasses Pacific Spirit Regional Park to the east and is edged by beaches to the north and west. The nearest airport is Vancouver International Airport (YVR) located on Sea Island about a 30-minute drive to the southeast of UBC campus.
Match-making for taxis and ride-sharing in rental cars:
If you would like to share a taxi or can offer space in a rental car from or to the airport,
- preferred email address for contact;
- whether Vancouver is your first point of entry into Canada;
- flight details for arrival in YVR (date, airline name and flight number, departure city, arrival time at YVR);
- flight details for departure from YVR (date, airline name and flight number, departure time, destination city);
- which event you are attending (TCW, SS, TCW & SS);
- names and number of people in your travel group;
- number of available spaces in your car.
Attendees arriving (or departing) on the same day and within an hour of each other will then be “introduced” by Alison via email to make all further arrangements directly with the other party, including how to contact each other in the event of travel delays while in transit.
